Chronic Care in Singapore

Chronic Care in Singapore

Chronic diseases, coupled with the growing aging population in Singapore, presents a significant cause for illness and death in modern times.

Common chronic problems such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and stroke plague about 1 million Singaporeans. These conditions frequently culminate in serious complications when not managed properly.

Often, patients seek treatment only when complications surface and this results in unnecessary suffering of pain and high medical costs. With early detection and good management of these chronic conditions, these complications can be controlled and even avoided.
